Leading the company is industry veteran Tom Cox, Jr., who is the Co-Founder and President of Gracepoint Homes. Cox, a second -generation homebuilder, began his homebuilding career as a customer service representative for nationally-recognized Emerald Homes in 1993. He went on to serve as Project Manager in Guadalajara, Mexico; Senior Operations Manager of Emerald’s Phoenix Division; and Division President of Emerald’s Dallas Division. Upon Emerald’s sale to a national builder, Cox became Houston Division President in the organization, managing the company’s entire Houston portfolio. He achieved profitability in three months and successfully took the startup from producing 190 units and $30 million in revenues to more than 2,670 units and $490 million in revenues, representing an unprecedented growth of more than 400 percent in four years. Cox left the national builder to start Gracepoint Homes in 2006.
